Director Asset-Backed Security

The organisation

Our client is an Asian market leader within the financial services industry. They have offices around the globe in more than 50 countries. You’ll be part of an international atmosphere and a professional and dynamic culture. You will be working for a small sister organization of this large corporate with less than 50 FTE and a true start-up feel. This entity focuses specifically on investment services (MiFID related products) to European clients. They are looking for grow strongly in their Amsterdam office.

The position

You will report to the CEO of the entity, with a functional line to the Head of Structured products. You will develop the group’s EMEA Public (Term) Securitised Products (ABS/MBS) business for European and UK clients; including having responsibility for the origination, structuring and underwriting on behalf of the European and EMEA entities. You will support the syndication as required by and in conjunction with the DCM Syndicate team. You will support the origination and execution of diversified pool securitisation transactions for European and UK clients (including trade receivables, auto, lease, handset and RMBS asset classes) in co-ordination with the other SP&SCF members. Besides this you will support EIBD in the overall development of their business including new asset class penetration, as well as supporting any origination, execution and distribution activities where required. You will supporting London business in documentation and sales pitches. You will make sure the European team is targeting the right clients.

Candidate profile

An ideal candidate is a mid to senior level director at a bank, hedge fund or insurance company, with experience of managing staff. You will be required to have an excellent background within Asset-Backed Security. You will need to have had a client facing front office role, getting in new business. You will be asked to (further) build the business from a bd perspective. Besides English, you ideally speak German and/or French and/or Dutch.

The offer

Our client offers a competitive salary package. The salary for this position will be based on a 38.75 hours working week. You will have a 13th month, a discretionary bonus, a training budget, pension plan and 29 holidays.
