The European headquarters are based in The Netherlands.

De functie

The Director Communications Europe reports to the VP HR Europe. The Director has no direct staff, but there`s a dotted line from the Regional Communications Managers.
The Director Communications is mainly responsible for the internal communication. There is some PR involved, but this aspect is limited. Product information is done by the marketing department and financial information is done by the headquarters.

Responsibilities of the Director Communications Europe:

• Develops and delivers internal and external communications strategies in support of the European business.
• Coordinates European communications efforts as part of a larger, global communications team.
• Designs, documents and manages all internal and external communications vehicles and channels within the European organisation. This includes outlining effective processes for the European HQ organisation announcements and press releases.
• Effectively supervises, guides and directs the Regional Communications Managers.
• Ensures consistency of messaging across the European organisation by providing proactive and reactive communications counsel to the senior staff and the European leadership team.
• Develops and delivers executive communications initiatives, including town halls, speeches, presentations, roundtables and cascades throughout the European HQ organisation.
• Creates comprehensive internal and external communications programmes to effectively promote the organisation`s services and corporate initiatives.
• Prepares and manages European communications budget.

De eisen

The organisation is looking for an experiences communications director who will be able to develop the communications department in Europe. In the beginning it will be a stand-alone position, but there is the possibility of developing the communications department. The candidate must have experience in an international organisation and must be a self-starter.

Profile of the candidate:

• Masters degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations.
• 7-10 years of experience in a international organisation.
• Understanding of the role as a business partner.
• Experience in coaching staff (direct or indirect).
• Self supporting
• Fluent in English and a second European language.
• Strong personality (proactive, persuasive, self confident and professional)

De arbeidsvoorwaarden

€ 120.000 - € 160.00 On Target.

Long term incentives will be a part of the total remuneration package.
