Director of Engineering (offshore energy)

The organisation

Our client is an international service provider.

The position

• Leading the (global) engineering department comprising 300+ people.
• Developing the engineering strategy and contribute to the vision and strategy and translate this into plans for engineering office.
• Building and leading the engineering management office that is focussed on delivering successful engineering projects.
• Working closely together with peers from the commercial and operations department to deliver financially successful projects.
• Ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality, realistic, profitable and innovative design, value engineering, and providing engineering support to projects in execution.

Candidate profile

• Proven track record in an Engineering leadership roles in (international) highly-complex multidisciplinary project organisations
• Experience in the maritime and/or offshore industry. Experience with offshore energy is preferred
• Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Strong stakeholder development skills and ability to manage/influence across and up in the organisation without direct reporting responsibility
• Excellent command of the English language
