Director Operations

Summary of the position

The Director Operations will be challenged with his team to secure the successful implementation of turn-key projects according to agreed specifications, timelines and budgets. Responsibility ranges form the contractual sign-off till the delivery of the project and the management of service contracts. (S)he will manage 75 employees involved in the pre-engineering, engineering, assembly and commissioning activities. In addition (s)he is the Manager of a team of Global Project Managers who manage approximately 50 running projects with a commercial value of up to EUR 15 million. The Director is a member of the Management Team of the business unit. The company is located in the eastern part of the Netherlands.

Key requirements

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years work experience within operations and at least a Bachelors degree in Engineering. (S)he is an experienced and entrepreneurial Manager with a proven track record in managing large international projects or programmes in an industrial setting. Experience with delivering turn-key projects for customers is a must. The Director is result driven and works effectively across geographic and cultural boundaries. Knowledge of Dutch language and culture is required. The position is a permanent employment contract.
