The organisation:

The organization is a global market leader in high-pressure hydraulics and a manufacturer of industrial hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, presses, professional equipment and other products. Its EMEA operations are headquartered in the Netherlands.

Location:

Eastern part of the Netherlands

Position description:

The Director Operations sits in the site management team and contributes towards the business by increasing sales and profits through:

• Supply chain improvements in terms of cost and delivery time
• Optimizing manufacturing processes
• Applying lean manufacturing principles

Requirements:

• HTS - WTB diploma or equivalent
• At least 10 years of management experience in metalworking environment
• Demonstrated business acumen, in evaluating businesses, and successfully addressing people, organizational issues and/or opportunities to improve organizational performance
• Experience in organizations with formal manufacturing systems and world-class business practices, such as lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban and supply chain management
• Demonstrated effectiveness in leading (selecting, coaching, developing) a team
• Experience in project oriented environment
• Demonstrated effectiveness in verbal and written communication with team members and customers at all levels
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, etc.
• Experience in building strong teams
• Willing to travel 10 – 20%
• Bilingual Dutch/English required

Salary conditions:

• €80.000 - €110.000 (base)
• Up to 25% bonus
• Company car
