The position:

The Procurement Director Europe reports to the Vice President Operations Europe and is part of the Management Team. The main purpose of the job is to establish/manage a high professional European Procurement organization and to develop/control the procurement strategy of the categories/commodities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop/control European Procurement processes/systems/data.
• Develop a vendor-rating process and Procurement balance scorecard.
• Establish/control annual Procurement improvement/savings-plan’s per category and for the local Procurement teams.
• In cooperation with Private Brand Operations develop a Direct import strategy.
• In cooperation with HR and Legal implement the delegation of authority in relation to Procurement.
• In cooperation with Legal define a standard Master Purchase Agreement (MPA).
• Implement/audit vendor-contract-management.
• Create a network of communication / cooperation between EU and regions.
• In cooperation with M&M and Finance develop/implement/control a European Rebates and Allowances strategy.

Position requirements:

• Master or MBA degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Procurement, etc.
• Successful background of 10-15 years in Procurement, preferably in an international environment.
• 7-10 years experience in an international matrix organization.
• Experience in central/decentral Procurement organizations, Procurement of OEM products & Retail.
• Special Certifications or Technical Skills in Professional Buying Qualifications, Product Management and Business Process Management.
• Knowledge of ERP & CRM systems (preferred SAP).
• Ability to utilize available systems and tools to effectively optimize the product assortments, the pricing architecture and promotional activities.
• Ability to manipulate data and analyze statistical information to monitor and optimize category performance.
• Excellent commercial/negotiation skills.
• Great people management skills.
• Multi-cultural (European/US) knowledge.
• Execution and results driven.

Salary conditions:

€ 140.000 - € 200.000 OTE
