The organisation

Our client is one of the leading suppliers for the construction industries with European origin. As a producer of formworks products and services he has a global network and a very strong footprint in the Middle East, the Stan Countries and in whole Asia apart from covering the global market place. The company is looking for a General Manager formwork Solutions for Qatar (M/W).

Tasks & responsibilities

• Full managerial and P&L responsibility for the legal entity in the country
• Implement company strategy in all departments successfully
• Implement measures to ensure achievement of targets and budgets
• Responsible for all managers and departments and their successful collaboration, development, optimisation and structure
• Initiate realisation of country sales strategy, pricing, management claims, inventory management
• Actively manage sales and marketing activities to maintain and expand business
• Customer relationship management for top customers
• Monthly performance review against business plan
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

Reporting to the Director Middle East

Candidate profile

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

• University degree in civil Engineering or similar qualification/experience
• At least 5 years management experience, preferably in the Middle East and in the construction material sector

Skills/Characteristics

• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Client focussed 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English
• Ability to identify opportunities, find solutions and put them into practice
• Strong intercultural sensitivity
• Confident, ambitious individual with a hands-on and solution-oriented mentality
• English in verbal and writing
• Optional: German in verbal and writing
