De functie 

The General Manager is responsible for growing and leading the Italian testing operations to notably exceed business expansion and profitability goals. Reports directly to one of the Group Division Directors. Further build-up of the company through organic growth and acquisitions as agreed with Group management. The focus lies on the Food and Feed market and on the Pharmaceutical market, the Environmental market is currently of lesser importance. Optimize current operations. Install a central accounting / finance team to serve all operating companies more cost effectively and homogenously. Prepare and follow up on agreed budget and report to his or her shareholders. Lead / take part in Group projects / initiatives / assignments in Italy and abroad as agreed with his or her board from time to time. Lead / take part in the marketing and sales process and ensure that the relations with the clients are smooth and efficient.  
  
De eisen 

• MBA or equivalent is desirable. Additional Master or PhD in Sciences (chemistry, pharmacy, food science etc.) would be appreciated.
• Approximately 10 years of experience, with at least 3 successful years fully P&L responsible.
• Strong operational experience with focus on production, re-engineering and cost management.
• Strong proven management / leadership skills in the Food / Feed industry.
• International work experience would be a plus.
• Highly energetic and strong sense of numerical issues.
• Fluent in English, knowledge of another European language is a plus.
