The organization
Your new employer is a biotech company that focuses on developing innovative antisense oligonucleotide therapies for rare neurological disorders. They are advancing towards a first-in-human trial. It’s a small but growing, dynamic and personal organization with about 20 colleagues. Will you go and join their growing team filling this key position? They have a long track record of academic collaborations and publications in the field of antisense oligonucleotides for neuromuscular disorders, and they genuinely value strong alliances with patient organizations.
The position
In your new role as a Head of Clinical Project Management you will have a key position and you will be responsible for all aspects of the clinical project management. You will implement, lead and (if necessary) support the project team and the clinical team so they can execute, track and report project and study activities. As a Head of Clinical Project Management you will provide operational expertise and leadership within the Clinical group. You will also lead or support the interface management with internal functions, external partners and external collaborators such as applicable study committees and local site investigators. In your role you are also the one who establishes and manages the interactions with patients’ organizations. You will work directly with the Chief Medical Officer.
Candidate profile
To be successful as the Head of Clinical Project Management you need to have a Master’s degree or a PhD in an applicable area or you are a Medical Doctor, combined with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role. Because you will be leading the team you need experience in people management and you need to be able to successfully achieve results with your multicultural, multifunctional team. The team can be geographically diverse so you also need to be familiar with leading in a virtual setting. Your interpersonal skills are also important to positively influence others and you also know how to instruct your team members clearly and steer them in the right direction.
You have experience with the management of conducting clinical trials, such as trial design and organization, development of timelines, budgets and resource plans. We are looking for a candidate with experience across several therapeutic areas and with proven training in and experience with GCP. You are also very familiar with FDA/EMA/ICH guidelines and other industry standard practices.
You are fluent in English, if you speak additional languages this is a plus. You need to be located in the Netherlands and eligible to work here. The organization allows you to work from home partially and you need to be available for approx. 25% of the time for domestic and international travel.

You will receive a fitting salary for your education and experience and the secondary benefits include a starting contract for 1 year, bonus scheme and 28 vacation days.
