Position description

The Head of Fashion Design is responsible, together with the 'in house' design team, for the correct conceptual and strategic translation of the trends (product design) to the target groups. The Head of Fashion Design works in close co-operation with the purchasing management. He/she is the motivating force behind the 15 designers in his/her team. The Head of Fashion Design inspires and feeds them. Thanks to his/her "passion for fashion", he/she feels the new trends coming, he/ she will be able to appoint and filter these trends into the company's strategy.

Requirements

The job requirements can be summed up as follows:

• Conceptual, Commercial People Manager & Organiser
• Absolutely fashion and trend conscious
• You distinguish yourself as a conceptual and strategic thinker
• You work in a result-oriented manner with a commercial/retail thinking pattern.
• In addition, you are an organizationally strong and communicative people manager with experience in giving leadership to (creative) teams.
• You combine your experience in purchasing/styling and fashion communication with a higher education in a creative field (fashion, styling/design, graphics, etc.).
• You will possess ideally specific product knowledge and experience with digital designing with, among others, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
