The position

In order to further professionalize the organization and increase profitability, a more strategic approach is needed for project and portfolio management within the supply chain organization. Therefore, the current organization will be strengthened by introducing a new position: a Head of Project Management.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Head of Project Management leads the PMO and ensures consistent and efficient portfolio and project management standards across diverse teams. The PMO governs project execution, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. By aligning projects with Interfood’s strategic goals, the PMO helps prioritize initiatives based on their strategic value. It oversees resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in portfolio management and project execution. Additionally, the PMO facilitates communication and best practices among international teams, enhancing overall project success.

Your primary objective is to lead the development of project- and program-management frameworks and tools to ensure that they meet the needs of key stakeholders. You advance a culture of innovation by promoting an extended innovation/excellence community and helping leaders across the organization understand how to promote and expand innovation in their areas.

You are responsible for the intake of project opportunities for all functions (run & change), and will ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined within the project-delivery and program-management office teams. In parallel, you will ensure program and project compliance with the organization’s wider governance structures and processes. Through accurate resource and capacity planning, you secure the project management agenda.

Stakeholder management is key in this position: you will facilitate Extended Board and Strategic Committee discussions regarding portfolio management and prioritization.

Candidate profile

You have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management. You have experience in planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives. You are familiar with managing different types of projects, such as setting up supply chain strategy, new operating models, and global job frameworks. In addition, you have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and ERP tools. You have more than 10 years of experience in corporate environments.

You have a proven track record of implementing successful portfolio/project management and change management, as well as proven experience in project/program leadership roles, preferably within the dairy industry or related sectors.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to oversee the bigger picture, and is skilled in translating concepts into actionable and pragmatic steps. You are consistently able to achieve results, even under tough circumstances. You are a strong communicator and have a proven ability to influence and motivate others.

We are searching for a results-oriented leader who builds networks, is interpersonally savvy, cultivates innovation, and excels in stakeholder management. Good command of both written and spoken English.

The offer

The opportunity to take a pioneering role in the development of portfolio and project management for one of the most prominent global dairy suppliers. It is an exciting time to be in the food industry. As populations rise, there is greater demand than ever for high quality, nutritional food. Positioned between the buyers and sellers in the international food chain, Interfood has a vital role to play in guaranteeing quality and fair prices as well as enabling the industry to operate in a way that is as sustainable as possible. The company has a solid foundation and a talented, motivated team. The company culture can be characterized as open and no-nonsense.
