The position

You lead the Engineering department (22 employees) and are responsible for all engineering for shipping and offshore projects. You are member of the management team.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Leading the Shipping and Offshore engineering teams (22 employees).
• Managing all engineering activities for shipping and offshore projects.
• Translating the company’s strategy and objectives in annual department plan.
• Organising and executing HR performance cycle for the Engineering department.
• Ensuring knowledge management and know-how is up to date.
• Visiting (global) prospects and advising on engineering matters.
• Managing the department’s budget and costs
• Participating in the MT.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical subject.
• Experience in the shipping and/or offshore industry.
• Strong leader with management experience.
• Good command of the English language. Dutch is an advantage.
• Strong persuasion, influencing and negotiating skills.
• Residing in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.
• Open to international travelling.
