For one of our clients, a well known technical services provider for the construction industry we are looking for a Managing Director for their Dutch/Belgium operation. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the continued success of the company and for realising future growth potential. The Managing Director we are looking for will be profit and loss responsible and will have a strong focus on B2B technical sales.

He/she will directly report to the Board of the group based outside of the Netherlands.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Ensure the continuity and profitability of organization.
• Develop a clear vision on the entire organization and translate strategic goals into aimed plans and structured action programs.
• Transform to more commercial organisation and bring the Dutch/Belgium company closer to the Group and leverage with other Group companies.
• Manage and motivate an organization of more than 200 FTE and train and develop middle management team.
• Spot new opportunities within the market and capitalize on them.
• Develop and maintain durable customer relationships by initiating and retaining trust.
• Prepare monthly and yearly forecasts as well as report all financial results to the international headquarters.
• Plan, develop and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods.
• Maintain a broad and relevant network outside of the own organization.
• Closely monitor the competition thereby gaining further competitive advantage. 

Profile of the ideal candidate

Education

Master degree, preferably Economics/Commercial or Technical degree. 

Background

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Managing Director or least 5 years of experience in a commercial role with managing large teams, preferably within the field of installation technology or similar industrial construction.
• Proven experience in managing a sales team and driving business development.
• Ability to grow an organisation in turnover and size while maintaining profitability.
• Experienced in developing short and long term strategic plans.
• Experience in managing and motivating staff on all levels.
• Affinity with and appreciation of technology and innovation is a must.
