Organization

Our client, an international group active in IT Solutions & Consulting, is looking to find a new Managing Director for its Benelux organization. The Managing Director Benelux will directly report to the foreign headquarters of the company and will be heading up the Benelux organization consisting of about 50+ employees.

Location

Amsterdam region, the Netherlands. Frequent travel within the Benelux and occasionally to the headquarters in Europe.

Responsibilities and deliverables

• Provide leadership to position the company at the top of the industry.
• Further develop and implement the strategic plan to enable future growth through achieving high profitability.
• Support Sales and Key Account Management and extend the client base while at the same time stabilizing the business with existing customers.
• Ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
• Where appropriate, adopt group procedures and standards and ensure proper execution.
• Build a strong and open company culture based on a drive for quality and results.

Profile of the ideal candidate

Education

Minimum Masters degree or similar in Business Administration, Computer Sciences or a related field.

Background

• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive work experience within the IT industry. Experience working for a System Integrator, a Software House or in IT Services in international environment is strongly preferred.
• At least five years of work experience in a senior management position.
• Well developed personal network with decision makers for IT in the Benelux region.
• Proven skills in Business Consulting, Key Account Management and with Client Relations.
• Ideally experience in change management.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required. French and/or German is considered a strong plus.
• Goal-oriented and figure driven but charismatic personality.
• Hands-on mentality.
• Be a true leader connecting people within the organization and creating an open company culture.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with multiple European cultures.
• Well structured approach to define roles with responsibilities, processes and structures.
