The organisation
Over 80 years ago, our client invented the first gas-fired infrared luminous heater. Ever since, “heating” has been the focus of the company. The company stands for energy saving, innovative and reliable gas heating solutions supported by a professional customer service.
Our client (with HQ in Germany) is the largest supplier and worldwide market leader of infrared gas heaters for industrial building, outdoor applications and sport arenas. Customers range from small businesses to internationally operating conglomerates. Our client values establishing trust. Their mission is always to exceed customers’ expectations.
With all together 380 employees (from which 140 in Germany), our client realizes an annual turnover of Euro 40 million. The Benelux team realizes with 7 employees a turnover of Euro 2 million. This makes our client rank #2 in the Benelux.
The position
In this position, you will manage the Benelux organization and be responsible for sales and distribution in the Benelux. The candidate will have his own defined sales territory/responsibility and Key Accounts (approximately 2 days per week with customers).
You will implement the company’s strategy in terms of sales penetration of key products in key markets and acquire and follow up on new customers as well as maintain relationship management of existing customers (customers are: installation companies, general contractors, consulting/design engineers and end users).
The goal for the Benelux is to double the turnover in the coming years. The Managing Director Benelux will report to the Country / Export Manager at the HQ in Germany
Candidate profile
- High technical affinity is advantageous (not being a technician though). A background in Heating / Ventilation (boilers, warm air), Compressors or Airco is a must.
- Intensive commercial experience with proven sales track record in a B2B environment (investment goods). Successful, Senior Sales Manager or Business Unit Manager who wants to take the next step
- Thorough managerial experience and strong managerial skills.
- Understanding of financials.
- Knows how to create a Team Spirit
- A corporate background is an advantage; a corporate attitude is a disadvantage
- Good presentation and strong negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, ambitious, dynamic, energetic, thrusting
- Language skills of English or German are required
- Must live in the centre of the Netherlands (Utrecht, s’-Hertogenbosch) or must be willing to relocate
- Age preference: between 35 and 50 years. Exceptions only when outstanding personality

The salary indication of this position is up to € 120.000 OTE, depending on the experience of the candidate.
