Tasks & responsibilities

• As part of the Project Team, provide leadership on HSSE issues and in particular set by example the framework and behaviors necessary to deliver the team commitment to no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment.
• Work closely with the Client and its Contractors to ensure readiness for offshore execution.
• Obtain detailed knowledge of offshore Hook-up and Commissioning scope of work, and participate in schedule development, including planning reviews
• Contribute to the execution plan, taking into account the requirements for construction support, vendor/subcontract management, logistics, permit support, etc.
• Work with the Hook-up contractor to prepare for the offshore HU&C phase by ensuring that all the required procedures are in place, the required training is planned correctly and that the right people are being recruited by the contractor
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives during onshore preparation, with the primary aim of reducing offshore execution man-hours.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all required project entities, including T&I, Commissioning, Start-Up and Operations, prior to offshore mobilization.
• On offshore execution phase must act as a Safety Champion for Offshore phase, continually demonstrating HSE Leadership by emphasizing a personal commitment to HSE and promoting Client HSE standards
• Act as the Clients Focal-Point for all offshore activity, including management of the Client Offshore Delivery Team, incorporating Construction, Commissioning, HSE, Operations and Marine
• Manage offshore contractors during execution and ensure that Offshore Hook-Up & Commissioning project scope is executed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.
• Liaise closely with the Client OIM, Client Commissioning and Start-Up Manager to ensure all offshore activities are prioritized to align with the Commissioning and Start-Up philosophy.
• Maintain all required communications with Project Management onshore.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives during offshore execution, ensuring safe productivity with extensive experience in offshore execution.
• The post-holder will require intervening on construction and commissioning issues therefore technical expertise across these disciplines would be an advantage.
• Current offshore survival and medical certificates
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both the Client and contractor project personnel
• Able to meet deadlines, which are related to the Project requirements.
