Principal / Senior Manager at a leading company in the IT industry

Reports to: Director of Europe & Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities:

• Identify new consulting opportunities and hold strong promise for downstream IT work by working with industry/domain heads.
• Develop/maintain client contacts and actively network with potential client executives.
• Represent the organization in leading industry forums.
• Recruit and develop local support (Manager /Senior. Manager) talent as necessary.
• Help generate new practice collateral and knowledge contributions (external articles, speeches).
• Develop project proposals.
• Leads client engagements (working closely with onsite /offshore associates and analysts) related to the business consulting group (portfolio analysis, technology rationalization, IT management consulting).
• Ensure quality control in engagement delivery  

Skill Sets:

• Must be a proven entrepreneurial consulting leader to build a firm, with significant support and implementation capabilities. Must be comfortable in dealing with CIO’s, business unit heads and other leaders.
• Self-reliant and able to work comfortably across time zones and cultures.
• Ability to establish himself/herself as Thought Leader.
• Ability to lead multiple engagement teams in European geography on various problem types through client work, proposals and/or knowledge development.
• Ability to help professionals in developing their careers in organization.
• Ability to work comfortably across time zones and cultures 

Languages:
Fluent in English and preferably fluent in one or more European language (German, French, Dutch) 

Education: 
Masters (or PhD) from a premier institute with specialization in Information Systems or advanced degree in Information Technology 

Experience:

• Successful associate principal / senior engagement manager from top tier consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Booz Allen) with deep experience in serving IT organizations.
• At least 15 years in information-technology service or consulting companies.
• Vertical industry spike necessary (financial services, healthcare, telecom or manufacturing)

Location:
Amsterdam, Zurich or Paris (Must be willing to travel 50%) 

Immigration Status:
European National or European Work Privileges 

Compensation

Consist of base salary and performance based bonus. Total package will be commensurate with principal at leading management consulting firms.
