Site Director (Warehousing)

The organisation

For our global operating customer (shipper) we're in the process of recruiting a Site Director (Warehouse Operation) for their facility in the vicinity of Frankfurt, Germany. 

• Position is Senior Manager / Director level,
• Site is approx. 300 FTE 
• Support CE region
• 18k parcel a day up to 2x – 3x at peaks
• Omnichannel being retail, advantage (B2B) and on-line
• Location is operating from Mon-Fri 07:00 – 23:00
• 3 direct reports: Outbound Mngr, Inbound Mngr and CS Mngr. 
• Heavy investments in 2015/2016 in new warehouse technology
• Reports to Supply Chain Director Europe

Candidate profile

• Open minded and innovative (new ideas)
• Retail and/or omni channel experience
• Change management
• Leading teams and improving performance
• Supply chain approach in delivering service to customers (external/internal)
• Needs to have growth potential (hire on attitude not only skils/experience)
• Preferable background with large warehouse operation with (on-line) retailer. 
• Good knowledge/experience on (implementation) WMS and new technology in warehouse operations
