Sourcing Manager Materials

Function

The Sourcing Manager will be participating in the sourcing team and will report directly to the managing director. He or she will be responsible for buying Activated Carbon as well as a group of materials (coal, wood, etc.) that are used in one of the four plants to produce (or reactivate) activated carbon. One will be actively looking for new opportunities worldwide. These opportunities involve finding new suppliers, creating new business opportunities and building strong relations with existing suppliers. Thereby one is expected to professionalize sourcing within the company by being pro-actively involved in optimizing procedures and the cooperation between teams (with purchasing and logistics) and business units.

Education

HBO/University commercial/technical (chemical)

• preferably experience with raw material trade

• intercultural business capacity
