Tasks & Responsibilities

• Acquiring and managing large consultancy assignments;
• Development and expansion of external relations;
• Strategic Advisor at C- and Boardroom- level;
• Building the business development and sales capabilities in the Market Unit;
• Inspiring Thoughtleader/engagement manager for relations and colleagues.

Candidate profile

• At least 10-15 years work experience, of which a considerable part as a consultant in Media with (international) experience
• Academic education
• Proven sales track record (EUR2-4 million p.a.) in large projects
• Considerable experience and network at CxO (-1) level in media with a focus on the Publishing market
• Has acquired and supervised major consulting assignments (with clients such as Reed Elsevier, Wolters Kluwer and Sanoma Media, for example)
• Is known as an authority in his field and is able to generate new leads and assignments from his network in a continuous flow
• Has a clear vision of the current and future challenges in the Media and Entertainment market
• Has expertise in strategic/C-level advice on typical issues in the Media (eg. print to digital, cost leadership, business portfolio optimization)
• Knows how to translate this into concrete consultancy assignments (transformation, implementation)
• Is able to build a new network and expand existing relationships, internally and externally
• Is able to mobilize team and stakeholders around key opportunities
• Applies team selling and builds the commercial skills of the team
• Has an affinity with information technology and the ideas of Digital Transformation
