Senior Product Manager – Data Science

My client is an international company with offices in three continents. The company has different business units, and you will focus on their data platform. They are a leader in customer data management and help marketers build digital experiences. They are delivering exciting new features and experiences to their enterprise customers.

The successful candidate will love to solve puzzles and be a team player. You will work on the industry’s most advanced digital experience platform if that is you. You will be responsible for product content, commerce, personalisation and experimentation for companies across all areas. They work with large companies across all sectors. Every week you will be able to gain in-depth knowledge of different industries.

The position

We are seeking someone to join our client as a Senior Data Product Manager for our client in Amsterdam. In this role, you must establish the strategy for their data platform. You will work closely with internal/external stakeholders to manage roadmap features and enhancements.

Tasks & responsibilities

You must be comfortable managing data pipelines and APIs from various sources, such as corporate strategy, customer feedback, market insight, sales recommendations, etc. You will be a central figure for my client’s key enterprise partners.

You will work to ensure the platform is up-to-date and uses best practices. You must develop a deep understanding of your customer’s pain points, delivering solutions that propel growth and customer retention. We need someone that can partner and plan with engineering teams to bring the product to life by working with agile development methodologies. Unfortunately, this role is not for you if you struggle to communicate with the technical teams.

The ideal candidate can provide direction for engineering and quality teams. You will have to analyse product quality and engagement performance with internal tools.

Candidate profile

They are a growing company working with large enterprise partners. However, they do not have a “playbook” for every scenario. If you want to be a Senior Data Product Manager for them, you need to be able to think independently and find your answers to problems as they present themselves. We need someone with the following background:

• Combined experience over five years as a product leader or data/software engineer with marketing technology.
• You must have a proven track record of working in product and data engineering with SaaS or B2B products.
• Experience building technologies on top of Snowflake, AWS, and other marketing technology systems.
• Ideally, you have successfully taken marketing technology products through the entire product lifecycle.
