Development Manager Hotels (Europe)

The organisation

Our client is a family business that is specialized in hotel properties. They are looking to expand through Europe, therefore we are looking for a skilled Development Manager with relevant experience in hotel and leisure real estate.

The position

As a Development Manager you are responsible for the development and realization of hotels from initial design to the complete delivery of the projects. You will be working in a small team of real estate and hotel professionals.

Tasks & responsibilities

Your task is to manage your projects in Europe within budget and within the agreed frameworks taking into account the characteristics of the country in which the hotel will be realized.
You are expected to anticipate on the culture, law, regulations and construction methodologies of the specific country. You are expected to act in a creative way and in a socially responsible manner (budget, time and sustainability), to organize efficiently and show that you have the project under control.

Candidate profile

• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ development / project management experience.
• Experience in managing contracts outside the Netherlands.
• Ability to communicate well in English and, ideally, one other European language.
• Willing to travel.
