Head of Construction / FM Retail (Benelux)

Our client is a succesfull European retail company.

The position

Head of Construction/FM steers and controls country specific execution of property projects based on the guidance from Head of Construction/FM international. Responsibility for performing project management and technical project development from design to handover acceptance. Furthermore responsible for performing Facility Management activities. Responsibility for sufficient data processing within corporate tools, investment management from budget to actuals.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Leading design, tender and execution process alongside defined strategic location targets and approved/budgeted projects
• Ensures Contract management and invoice control Construction/FM
• Supports development of real estate strategy in close cooperation with corporate property management / country management
• Support and follow-up on FM related issues in the stores and other properties.
• Coordination of permit/approval procedures such as building permit
• Coordination of all legal support concerning construction/FM topics with legal department
• Coordination of security & safety measures concerning construction/FM topics with Safety & Security department

Candidate profile

• Bachelor or Master or professional education in architecture, civil engineering or construction related profession (e.g. mechanical, electrical education)
• Minimum 10 years work experience in construction/FM business, preferably focused in the retail sector
• Leadership experience property organization
• Fluent in Dutch and English. Any other language is beneficial
