Euro Nordic Logistics (ENL), located in the Port of Rotterdam’s Waalhaven, is a best-in-class, reliable and trustworthy logistics service provider that manages clients’ supply chains. ENL offers expertise that spans all logistics disciplines.
Over the past 25 years, ENL has developed itself as a specialist in global cargo flows. It provides clients with a unified hub for transport by sea, air and land. In addition, it offers storage, customs facilities, distribution, packaging and processing such as crushing, screening and drying. ENL serves customers in the Chemical, Dry Bulk, Container and Offshore markets.
ENL acts as logistics competence center for Elkem, a Norway-based provider and developer of silicones, silicon products and carbon solutions. In addition, ENL is agent to the Norwegian short sea and feeder operator North Sea Container Line.
ENL’s location in the centre of key strategic regions enables it to leverage specific market insights and expertise to optimise global logistics solutions. The company recently opened its impressive new headquarters in the Rotterdam Waalhaven and is also present in Belgium.

The position
As a driven Business Development Director, you will develop new business propositions and initiate systematic business improvement projects. The company is eager to keep its position as frontrunner in logistics and focusses on innovation and digitalisation. You will team up with the Managing Director to guide the company in the strategic steps required to strengthen its competitive position and continue an ambitious growth strategy. In this area, the company is open to acquiring and/or partnering with other companies.
You have the logistics markets figured out. You understand supply chain characteristics, trade and commodity flows and feel very comfortable in a commercial role. Developing business, expanding your network and connecting people gives you energy. You are a true executive leader; a team builder with natural authority and vision, taking responsibility and possessing a sales grant factor. You are used to being the face of the company. You are innovative, creative, structured, loyal, result oriented, flexible and a team player. Your enthusiasm and drive inspire others.
You direct operations with a continuous improvement focus, whilst managing the mid- and long-term strategy.
You are the leader of the ENL Competence Center in Rotterdam, that is in charge of the strategic developments with partners e.g. Elkem and NCL. This role requires in-depth understanding of the partners’ supply chain, including frequent travel to their locations.
Candidate profile
- Track record in business development and sales
- Knowledge of, and a network in, logistics, shipping and/or transport. Experience with continuous improvement is an asset
- The ability to build a high-performance team and deliver through others
- Ambitious, with a positive mindset to inspire yourself and others
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, energetic, with an ability to focus in a dynamic environment
