Business Development Manager

The organisation

For a rapidly growing Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO), we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Oss, Netherlands. The company offers state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing services for the automated fill & finish of sterile injectable drug products and has an excellent manufacturing and regulatory track record.

The position

As a Business Development Manager you are responsible for acquiring new manufacturing projects from the market. You will be an integral part of the BD team that builds up a strong relationship with clients, thereby enabling projects to develop from the early clinical stages towards the late stages and finally commercialisation. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, you utilise your knowledge, experience, and attitude to acquire new projects for clients and contribute to the growth of the organisation.

Candidate profile

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial profile along with the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy and 2+ years of relevant working experience within the Biotech/Pharma service industry; 
• Knowledge of (bio)pharmaceutical CMC processes, preferably in drug product manufacturing of parenterals; 
• Experience in writing quotations and establishing commercial contracts; 
• Strong nature to develop and sustain trust-based professional relationships with clients, internal, and external stakeholders; 
• Fluent in English and Dutch; 
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills; 
• Customer-centric approach complemented by creativity and resilience.
