Business Development Manager

The position

You will be responsible for contacting the main suppliers in the Smart meter rollout in the Benelux in the coming years. You are aiming to build strategic relationships within the accounts (utilities), articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm. At the most strategic level you will be implementing a broad strategy regarding strategic planning and solution selling. Besides managing the business in the Benelux, you will be heading a small team and represent the Benelux inside the Group. You will be reporting to the company CEO.

The candidate

To be successful in this position you need to have solid and suitable technical and commercial skills and competences, with at least 10 years of experiences in sales in a similar market. Preferably you have an electrical engineering graduate. A metering specialization is considered to be an advantage. A nice-to-have is a good knowledge of the global and regional metering market. You understand solution selling in a complex environment You can deal comfortably with more senior managers and executives. Anticipating future consequences and trends accurately, will go together with being good in establishing clear directions and staying cool under pressure.
