The position
AFF Recruitment & Executive Search is actively looking for a Commercial Manager for this client.
Tasks & responsibilities
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities and leading the growth in organic grains, pulses, derivatives, and oils in the European market Joining the European team in their start-up phase, you will be given the freedom and room to develop a market and customer-base. You will have solid internal partners that will be there to support you and provide you the tools to ensure your success.
You possess a minimum 5-10 years’ experience in similar roles, in Specialty Commodities or Ingredients. You will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, you are a self-starter, resourceful and action oriented. You have a strong market and customer orientation and don’t mind being hands-on while the business is building.

Results
- Identifies and executes opportunities to grow the European market through partnerships;
- Conducts market mapping for organic and speciality grains, pulses, derivatives and oils;
- Identifies potential feed, food and pet food customers;
- Analyzes sales, marketing, and global trends to gain insights on how to improve performance and maximize growth;
- Develops and implements commercial strategies according to organizational goals.
- Builds a solid customer base by instilling trust in our brand promise, gains customer insight knowledge, foresees sustainable growth;
- Builds a high performing team;
- Responsible for the execution of contracts, including communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers;
- Gathers market knowledge/data through ascertaining bids and offers on physical commodities;

- Entrepreneurial, self-starter, resourceful and action-oriented;
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with competing priorities;
- Strong mathematical and negotiation skills; strong commercial acumen;
- Have the highest ethical standards, understands the importance of compliance;

- Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;
