Our client is one of the world‘s leading providers of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally. Their customers are on the leading edge in mobile, fixed and IP networks. They demand rapid delivery of services, products and solutions within these areas. Market pressures are forcing operators to think much more in terms of total efficiency of operations than ever before and there are significant economic benefits to be shared. Therefore our client wishes to attract a dynamic business development executive as Account Director Consultancy to profitably develop business in their major regional accounts.

Summary of the position

The Account Director role is new within the company. The key responsibility of the Account Director is to provide the Key Account Managers (KAM) with strategic options by leveraging the complete companies portfolio to identify and address client issues and drive sales. The Account Director will develop and extend excellent new client relationships at senior ICT level (CIO/CTO), including relationship within other ICT fields where the company can develop new business opportunities and add customer value.
 
Key requirements

The ideal candidate for the position is a highly dynamic, self-starter who exemplifies a service- and consultancy-led approach to selling and who comes to the role with a proven track record in consultancy, system integration, project sales and broad relationships in the telecommunications industry. Somebody who will step into this recently created, visible and key position within the company.  Candidates for the position will have approximately a minimum of 10 years experience within a consultancy company, system integrator or Telco/IT vendor with telecom industry solutions. Interesting companies in this perspective are Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, Logica, Atos Origin, CMG, HP and Oracle . A university degree in a technical, computer science or business discipline is required; preferably in the context of Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences. An MBA or equivalent education is a merit.
