Group Chief Commercial Officer

Our client is an international producer of recycled plastics

The position

To support our development, we are looking to strengthen our team and are seeking to recruit our Group Chief Commercial Officer.

Your mission is to increase the group's profitability by building strategies to position the Group in the most profitable segments, to give visibility to our business through the development of partnerships with strategic customers and suppliers and to support the team of local business development managers.

Tasks & responsibilities

With respect to the sales part:

• Ensures achievement of topline results
• Drive the commercial roadmap of the group
• Manage the local CCOs (and their team) that will transversally report to you
• Fix objectives, animate, provide support (market intelligence, sales tools), monitor result/progress
• Manage Key European customers (pan-European converters, distributors)

With respect to the sourcing part:

• Design and implement a plastic waste sourcing strategy to obtain the right feedstock, at the right price and for the right quantities
• Animate our network of pan-European suppliers (with our local staff in each country) and create medium-long-term partnerships
• Participate in tenders

Candidate profile

• Master's degree in Business or Engineering
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience, preferably in one of a few of these industries: plastic recycling, compounding, waste management or chemicals
• Experience in a similar position or direct report of a similar position, within a Pan-European environment
• Natural leader with a positive attitude who stands for a pleasant working atmosphere and results
• Business oriented, decisive with an entrepreneurial mentality
• Able to work strategically, but with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication skills, at all levels
• Analytically strong
• Excellent knowledge of the English language. Preferable also in Dutch & German
• Strong affinity for sustainability
• International travel; +/- 30%
• The role can be based in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain or Italy
