The organisation

Our client is one of the largest banks in the world and is globally active in the fields of Private Banking and Consumer Finance. The bank has a substantial consumer finance business in the Netherlands and intends to grow this. Given the fact that car sales financing is the main market in Consumer Finance in the Netherlands, the intention is to increase market share in this segment substantially. In order to do so our client wants to further establish captive relationships with car manufacturers, importers and/or large car dealers.

Therefore, our client wishes to attract a

Head of Car Sales, with excellent strategic and relationship skills

Position

The Head of Car Sales will report to the CEO of the Dutch subsidiary. The main objective will be to create and manage relationships with car importers and car dealers (both in the new and the used car segment) in order to increase automotive financing. He/she will insure optimal service from the bank and will establish captive relationships in which the car importer/dealer will collaborate to promote the bank’s products within their networks. This is a very strategic, retail oriented position; focusing on captives with a high penetration level in the Dutch market. The Head of Car Sales is responsible for managing existing contacts with captives and acquisition of captive new business.

Candidate Profile

Candidates have a Bachelor degree (HBO), although a University degree is preferred. They have a minimum of 10 years of relevant consumer financing experience, ideally with first line captive companies. They are excellent relationship builders and relationship managers. They are result and client oriented. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
