Head of Group Supplier Management

The organisation

For a prominent Private Equity-owned European life science distribution organisation specialising in life science research products, we are currently looking for a Head of Group Supplier Management. The organisation operates with exclusive distribution partnerships and a diverse customer base, focusing on distributing reagents and antibodies for both the public and private sectors.

The position

As Head of Group Supplier Management, you will be responsible for supplier expansion, relationship management and management strategy. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for increasing the number of existing suppliers and taking the lead in the management of the largest suppliers on a Group level. As this is a newly created role, you will also be responsible for developing the way in which supplier management is realised across Group Businesses. Your commercial acumen will be vital for the collaboration with local marketing teams, the development of joint sales growth strategies and the implementation of a streamlined approach for supplier segmentation and service levels.

Candidate profile

To be successful in this role, the ideal professional has proven experience in commercial roles within the life science research product industry. Next to this, you have: 

• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and creating strategies for supplier expansion; 
• The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and involve stakeholders effectively; 
• International exposure and a well-established network within the life science industry; 
• A team-oriented mindset with the capacity to collaborate across diverse functions and locations.
