The organisation
Our client is a market leader in inland logistics. They deliver containers from the major ports into the interior of Europe by inland shipping, trucks, and train. For this, they work together with the largest carriers and ports in Europe. The company is originally German and in the Netherlands, they have an office in the Rotterdam region.
The position
As Head of Sales, you are responsible for the commercial operations in the Netherlands. You manage about 10 sales professionals who are active in the Netherlands. For this, you set the course, you are busy with budgets, targets, and the personal development of the team. In addition, you also handle 1 or 2 of the largest accounts in the country. Here you are responsible for relationship management and you ensure that everything goes well. Finally, you are also busy with innovation in sales. You keep your eyes and ears open for possible changes in the market and always look for new ways to serve (future) customers. Think of sustainability and new services. In this role, you will travel regularly, to offices in Germany, ports abroad, and occasionally a fair.
Candidate profile
To be successful as Head of Sales, you preferably have a background in the logistics sector, for example in containers, shipping, or inland logistics. In this market, you have been involved in sales, and preferably also with international customers. Furthermore, you have also gained experience in the past of managing a team. Because it is a German company, you also speak fluent German. English is often the language of communication with customers and is therefore also a requirement. Dutch is a plus.
The offer
The organisation offers you a salary between € 80.000 and 95.000 per year. This is exclusive of a bonus, which is based on own, team, and company results. In addition, you also get a company car that you can drive privately and other beautiful secondary conditions.
