The position

We are looking for an ambitious and result driven International Commercial Export Leader for the most unique coffee concept that exists. If you have experience and/ or affinity working with coffee brands and if you are familiar with the international market, we would love to hear from you!

Tasks & responsibilities

You have the opportunity to lead our Export business and coach a team of International Account Managers. As an individual and as a team, we expect from you to achieve great results

As a pivot between the Sales, Production, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance departments, you work together on convincing proposals that help our clients become successful.

You will be responsible to retain and grow current clients (international) as well as creating new business opportunities (international). You will be part of the Management Team.

  • Manages & coaches a team of International Account Managers
  • Develops a long-term sales strategy to promote client retention and achieve growth.
  • Ensures sales team is adequately trained and capable of meeting requirements in terms of product knowledge, technology, as well as marketing and sales aspects, including pricing management and forecasting/budgeting activities.
  • Sets sales goals and monitors progress to ensure company goals are met.
  • Recommends and enforces product pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and client behaviors and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Directs international sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Analyses regularly client needs
  • Meets with key clients, assisting the Account Managers with maintaining relationship and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Analyses client feedback to identify product/service improvements.

Candidate profile

To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication skills with a strong focus on building client relationships.

In addition, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated results where you developed and motivate teams.
  • You have a proven track record in developing win-win solutions for both existing and potential clients.
  • You are able to think strategically when solving problems.
  • You have an eye for details and take the initiative to improve client service.
  • You have a good understanding of supply chain management, negotiation skills, CRM systems and excellent analytical and financial skills are essential.
  • You don't fit into one box, you have guts, think differently and dare to be different.
  • You have a passion and obsession for achieving results in collaboration with others and like to celebrate these successes together.
  • You can switch effortlessly between different cultures and feel free to be yourself and adapt if necessary.
  • You have a strong affinity with the coffee industry and all coffee related products.
  • You have a university degree and at least 5 years of managerial work experience in an international role.
  • English and Dutch language at a professional level required. German language is an advantage

The role is located in Rotterdam with a 3-2 days balance between working in the office and remote.
