The organisation makes predominantly salads, sandwiches, dreassings, spreads (in NL and Europe) and fresh chilled desserts, fish, dips, dressings and ready meals (outside NL) for sale in the UK and continental Europe. It is a major supplier to leading supermarket groups in Europe on a branded and customer own label basis. De functie 

The Sales Director Retail is –together with his motivated team- responsible for developing and implementing the retail sales strategy for the full retail product / brand portfolio to ensure the organisation achieves its retail-business objectives and revenue targets. He or she will build strong long-term relationships with new and existing retail customers, developing innovative sales strategies. He or she will lead, inspire and develop the sales team to drive the planned growth.  
  
De eisen 

• Bachelor’s or University Degree (B.A. /B.S.)
• 10 years experience gained in a retail sales environment in the FMCG branche, preferably experienced with branded and private label business.
• Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding sales budgets in a brand and/or private label orientated business; a strong marketer with an ability to influence a first class go-to-market strategy.
• Strong network in the Dutch retail branche.
• Proven people management experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Outstanding communication, public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized and driven.
