Our principal Catalyst Exhibits International is located in Amstelhoek near Amsterdam and has offices in Shanghai and Barcelona. They handle trade shows around the globe for their international customers. Catalyst provides full turnkey services for startups to global fortune 500 companies. The focus is to provide clients with flexible marketing driven solutions that get them noticed on the trade show floor. Understanding a client's marketing strategy is the first step to developing a program that includes exhibit designs for every trade show, every configuration. Catalyst provides everything from 3D design, renderings, permanent installations, large program management, exhibit fabrication, large scale printing, graphics, fabric production, show services, audio visual services, on-site coordination, logistics, labor and last but not least the supervision. The company is headquartered in Chicago USA.
Responsibilities:
This is a revenue generating position that requires hard work and determination to identify sales opportunities, guide the client through the sales process, and bring the project to a mutually beneficial conclusion. It requires a true hunter to uncover opportunities. Once the opportunity has been identified, you will work with a team (4) to develop a marketing plan that will bring the client successful results with their exhibit. This position will require you to possess solid sales skills, but also be well versed on the Marketing concepts necessary to help drive sales for our client. This is a great industry with lots of daily diversity which keeps it very exciting and energetic every day. The goals:
- Relentless focus on steep growth of the Catalyst business through: timely and smart qualification of potential new clients in assigned trade shows.
- Drive the sales pipeline to the extreme to constantly beat the expectations for the number/value of new contracts/clients per show.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them with the Catalyst team to winning propositions.
- Contract the business and work with the Catalyst team to deliver above expectation.
- Manage customer relationships long term, optimize the business (relationship, acquisition, financials) with every client.
In short terms find, create and earn long lasting business relationships with clients around the globe. Do whatever is needed to find and keep customers so that they value Catalyst as their long term preferred trade show partner.
The daily activities are a mix between desk research, cold calling (phone), thorough lead qualification, follow up calls (phone or face to face), internal meetings (phone and/or face to face) for contract winning proposals and proper cooperation with project management during execution of the contracts and, of course, regular relationship management meetings with existing and future clients (phone, face to face and at trade shows).
Job description:
A strong desire and relevant competencies to succeed in an advertising/marketing sales and services organization:
- 3 years of experience in new business development.
- Higher business education/level and street smart.
- Result driven and committed to creating a ‘book of business'.
- Demonstrated ability to establish manage and grow account relationships.
- Proven sales skills with a knack for consultative selling.
- Superior communication skills, including phone, e-mail, presentation and closing skills.
- True team player, with ability to make critical decisions.
- Clever participant in industry and client events.
- Fluent in business English (speaking and writing) and preferably one or two other business languages.
- Comfortable with pay for performance (high performance = high compensation).
