The organisation
A global producer of fuels and industrial chemicals. The production capacity spans three continents and comprises millions of metric tons per year. The company employs more than 3,500 people worldwide.
The position
The new Sales Manager knows the landscape and the players of the fuel market in UK and EU.
In this position you will be responsible for relationship management and new business development. The products are mainly biofuels, sold into the vehicle fuels and marine markets. You are targeting fuel distributors in the UK as well as EU. These are new products sold in new markets. Mostly own production, but also some trading positions. You will make long term contracts when they make sense.
The role will be based in the Netherlands. The company is flexible on working from home although there will be a requirement to be in the office often. Travel requirements as would be expected from a regional sales role.
In this position you will report to the commercial director and will have no direct reports until demand requires it.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.
- Experience as an account manager, product manager or project leader in a sales related field, with a successful track record.
- Strong knowledge in (bio)fuels and other related chemical products.
- Time Management, planning and organising his/her work in a structured way.
- Hands-on, problem solving, combining knowledge and sensitivity to build relationships.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Ability to travel internationally, on average 20% of the time.
