The fast-growing family company was established in 1990. After several years in metal processing as a contractor, the company Hypex (Unimotion) was created and operates in the field of customised machinery, offering individual and integrated solutions such as testing machines and assembly lines with its own development. Experience in long-term individual technology solutions has led the company to become a global linear motion technology solution provider.
Hypex (Unimotion) produces mechanical linear units, compact linear units, multi-axis systems as well as customised solutions for high dynamic demands.
The position
Reporting to the CEO, Peter Grilc, the Sales Manager Netherlands will meet or exceed the annual sales order intake budget. To perform this role successfully, candidates must be able to build trust across all aspects of the role, in a professional manner, building rapport and credibility with customers. As the Sales Manager Netherlands, you will also be responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand Unimotion's market presence. You will work closely with the European sales team, developing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in sales management and a deep understanding of the Dutch market. The successful candidate will act as ambassador for Unimotion, protecting propriety information and technology, and its reputation.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve company sales targets, drive revenue growth, and increase market share in the Netherlands.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate untapped markets, expand the customer base, and increase Unimotion's market presence.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns, product launches, and sales collateral that align with customer needs and market trends.
- Conduct market research, analyse competitive activities, and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations to key stakeholders, addressing their concerns and effectively communicating the value of Unimotion's products and services.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, analyse sales data, and generate regular reports to evaluate individual and team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Represent Unimotion at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility, network with potential clients, and stay updated on market developments.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry regulations, and technical advancements to effectively educate clients, address inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Administrative preparation of sales plans, marketing and budgets for all customers.
Other duties include:
- Keep abreast of market knowledge for new and emerging opportunities for Unimotion.
- Maintain knowledge of competitors and market pricing.
- Maintain CRM database of customer information.
- Regular reporting in CRM.
- Produce forecasts each month of order intake and revenue by key customer for rolling 12 months.
- Mentoring and coaching subordinates.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technical or a related field as a minimum.
- Independent and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role, preferably within the motion control systems or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of the Dutch market, including customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Existing knowledge of the relevant industries and potential clients for Unimotion.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of 8D quality method.
- Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally internationally for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Strong attention to detail when communicating customer requirements.
- An accomplished planner with strong organisational skills and ability to be a self-starter and work independently with little direct supervision.
- Facility with MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint and CRM tools is necessary.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional language would be an advantage.
