The position

You will become part of an entrepreneurial organisation with an impressive track record and history as their 6th member of the Sales team that oversees the sales activities in North-West Europe. You will report to the Director Business Development & Sales. The team consists of 3 authentic commodity specialists and two generalists. Your colleagues cover precious metals, oil condition monitoring, submitted samples and solid fuels & biomass. Apart from your position, the team is expected to grow with a specialist in dry bulk & circular and chemicals & gases. In addition, you will touch base with colleagues from BV’s global service line and from the USA office, given their expertise on biofuels and plastics.

The Biofuel, Renewable Fuel, Vegetable Oils and/or Distillate markets do not hold any secrets from you. You understand commodity flows and supply chain characteristics and feel very comfortable in a networking role. Connecting people and closing deals gives you energy. You are a loyal, honest and service minded candidate that shows flexibility, is easy-going and a true team player.

Candidate profile

As experienced Sales Manager you have a deep understanding of commodity supply chains and a relevant and extensive network. You excel in pro-active (cross) sales and optimise profits by offering the suite of services offered by Bureau Veritas to your clients. You ensure successful handover from your concluded sales to the operations and execution team.
Suitable candidates will have the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or commercial discipline.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of biofuel, renewable fuel and/or vegetable oil supply chains is desired, including an extensive network of stakeholders.
  • Acting in accordance with integrity and compliance.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, ability to perform cross-selling, good listening skills and a passion for excellence is your second nature.
  • Proficient in the English language. Dutch and/or German is an asset.
