The position
You are commercially responsible for growing the business within SABIC´s Automotive segment located out of Germany. You will identify, develop and close new business opportunities at accounts, OEM’s and related Tier1’s within the Automotive segment.
You need to find a good balance between strategic customer approach and short-term goals. You should develop a good relationship within all hierarchy levels at direct customers, converters, at specifiers (OEM’s) and within SABIC.
You are responsible to bring “Voice of Customer” to SABIC’s Product Marketing team to better identify new product introduction opportunities that enable the application development process.
You will report to the Director Automotive Sales Europe and work closely together with the Technical, R&D and Marketing departments.
Regarding work location, you can either choose for a home office and/or SABIC’s German HQ in Düsseldorf. You will be travelling up to 60% of your time.
Candidate profile
For this position we are looking for an energetic and ambitious Senior Account Manager with the ability to work independently and lead, direct, guide, plan & develop new projects & programs.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
- 7+ years’ experience in plastics is a must.
- Fluency in German is a must. Good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is a nice-to-have.
