PTTGC International (Netherlands) is a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, a US$20 billion petrochemical and material conglomerate headquartered in Thailand and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Amsterdam based PTTGC NL serves as a global business development and scouting arm for new investment opportunities, particularly in the petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and new technology sectors. It also serves as an active holding company for current investments in Europe.

The company continues shifting its portfolio and reshaping its business towards highly valued chemical and plastic products that are low on carbon.

The position

For PTTGC International Netherlands, subsidiary of Thailand's largest petrochemical and refining company, we are looking for a Senior Investment Manager Europe. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in driving forward the ambitious agenda of PTTGC NL. You will identify and capitalise on opportunities that align with the long-term vision of investments towards advanced materials and decarbonisation initiatives, with a focus on bio-technology for plastics.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Engaging with corporate and business teams to align strategic focus.
• Supporting innovation growth platforms with portfolio and projects.
• Identifying startup opportunities for new businesses or product development.
• Collaborating on technological breakthroughs and adoption.
• Managing team and sourcing deals, scouting emerging technologies.
• Reviewing and updating investment portfolio progress.
• Building and managing relationships with startup ecosystem stakeholders.

Candidate profile

• Experience in M&A or investments, ideally within the industrial sector
• Focus on new technologies, advanced materials and decarbonisation initiatives is a plus
• Background in new business development strategies; demonstrated expertise in business incubation processes
• Master's degree
• Exposure to international business environments and operations, culturally sensitive
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly with international partners
