Senior Key Account Manager Savoury Benelux

Reason for filling the position
One of the 6 Key Account Managers has recently has been promoted within Givaudan. The local management has decided to fill this vacancy as soon as possible, because the jobholder took care of some of the most important clients for the Benelux market.
The Senior KAM is responsible of leading the attack on the savoury opportunity in Benelux, engaging with present customers and with possible new prospects. The customers have different positions in the value chain and the portfolio includes private label manufacturers, blenders and branded goods manufacturers. The present sales volume is 12 - 15M CHF with a significant potential of increase. The scope of the role also includes developing segment plans and driving sales in all sectors with present customers and with new prospects.
Mission / purpose of the position
Purpose of the position is to maintain a very high level of customer relationship and to intensify further the business opportunities.
The market share within the key customers business should be expanded by being more regularly on the customer’s core-list of a significant large number of projects in order to win as much briefings as possible.
The long lasting relationship between the key customers and Givaudan is a major reason for further business growth and high overall market share. The jobholder is the competent business partner for various decision making levels regarding the customers.
The jobholder will also be responsible of handling all business affairs with the local Givaudan flavour distributor who is taking car of all medium / smaller size clients.
Position’s Profile
- Main tasks Manage national key accounts as well as international key accounts locally and coordinate international key accounts within the EAME region;
- Development of ADP’s for key accounts;
- Assume lead position for all Givaudan activities for designated customers;
- Closely manage ADP KPI’s and budget, modifying strategy as necessary;
- Cultivate customer relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Givaudan as preferred supplier;
- Coordinate / manage internal resources in support of customer needs and priorities;
- Conduct presentations to articulate Givaudan’s value proposition and promote new concepts, technologies or products;
- Alignment with Givaudan colleagues handling same key accounts in other areas within the EAME region;
- Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans;
- Negotiate pricing agreements within Givaudan guidelines;
- Transition customer projects / new wins from scale-up to production;
- Manage credit, pricing, rebate management, and other issues for accounts;
- Comply with company and statutory Health, Safety, and Regulatory guidelines; Collaborate in defining and preparing advertising and promotion strategies.
- Responsible for all commercial and project activities with allocated Key Accounts in the responsible region.
Criteria of success
The position is successfully filled if the good existing customer contacts are taken over by the new jobholder. A leading position of the company with their clients should be kept or expanded by meeting or exceeding beyond customer needs / expectations.
Expanding “win-rate”.
Very good contacts to all involved functions / hierarchy levels should be established at all major customers to facilitate long lasting business relationships.
Contractual conditions
Unlimited contract of employment adequate to multi-national standards (with a notice period of 2 month to the end of a month, e.g. Dutch law).
