Nobel Recruitment are very excited to have recently partnered with the world's fastest growing finance automation business. With 650+ employees across the Middle East, USA and UK&I and circa $300M in funding, our client is very well poised to establish an EMEA presence and aim to grow their EMEA business from 0-75 people over the next 24 months.

The position

We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Director EMEA as the first hire on the ground in Amsterdam, who will be responsible for driving this growth. As Senior Sales Director Europe, based in Amsterdam and reporting to the VP Sales, you’ll be the first commercial hire in Europe.

We’re therefore in search for a senior, capable sales leader to strategise and build a team, initially around 15 FTE and growing to likely 75+. Due to this growth trajectory, you’ll need to be ready to front line manage the initial sales team and pipeline whilst building out the organisation and creating a management structure to then lead through. We’re looking for a great coach who can lead a group of high performing, process oriented, value builders and anticipate the right leader will contribute greatly to, and share in our success. You’ll be supported by investment in SDR, Solutions Consultants, marketing, alliances, product and leadership. A collaborative leader who aligns teams and drives toward results is essential.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a world-class European sales team that aligns with the go to market strategy of the company and market segment.
  • To start: Directly lead and coach a team of 4-7 Account Executives on all matters related to territory planning, pipeline inspection/management, forecasting, quota attainment and employee development
  • Over Time: As you build the team further, hire a Sales Management layer to lead each time with all managers reporting to you
  • Be the senior liaison between other stakeholders (product, marketing etc) and the market
  • Hold regional accountability for accurately forecasting to VP Sales weekly
  • Actively participate in key opportunities across region
  • Set and meet quarterly new business sales objectives
  • Demonstrate clear and expert understanding of the sales process and product value propositions
  • Partner with departmental v-Team members to build and implement in-region sales, marketing, and branding strategies
  • Ensure mutually successful sales outcomes for our customers
  • Manage, with sales operations, all applicable sales tools and maintain accountability of prescribed processes
  • Have a passion and track record in developing individual sales contributors and sales managers

Candidate profile

Requirements:

  • Consistent track record of success managing a metric driven business in hyper-growth organisations
  • 5+ years senior sales management experience with demonstrable success leading through change
  • Strong business and finance acumen, combined with experience selling to financial leaders (Finance Director, CFO, etc) preferred
  • Excellent leader and coach. Ability to hire, train, motivate, and lead tactical accountabilities consistently across the team
  • Experience selling solutions for Accounts Payable, B2B Payments or Procurement is an advantage
  • Self-starter with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Salesforce.com experience is ideal
  • Experience with forecasting tools such as Clari, Aviso, etc would be considered a strong asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree required We are building a world-class sales organisation
