The position
We are looking for a VP Global Sales & Business Development based out of Central Amsterdam, to lead a team of Account Managers, Partner Managers, Business Development Managers and sales engineers (total of 11 FTE). The VP Global Sales & Business Development is responsible for growing revenue through the successful sales of the products and services. This key leader will participate in the planning and execution of the overall sales growth of the company. Leading and executing the channel sales plan, the VP Global Sales & Business Development is responsible for growing, sustaining, and building increased equity with software partners and customers.

Key responsibilities
- Create, maintain and execute global sales strategy for the strategic products of the company;
- Driving growth and adoption of the products by our partner network;
- Accountable for attracting top talent, retaining this talent, and enablement of the sales team. Mentor and coach sales team members, and manage performance;
- Guide and manage the activities of your Enterprise sales teams to ensure company revenue goals and objectives are exceeded;
- Foster a collaborative and high performing team environment for your sales team;
- Develop and execute on a business plan to expand business into new accounts throughout the world;
- Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure above quota results based on successful pipeline management and best practice sharing;
- Display a thorough understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts and regions throughout the world;
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage customer expectations and escalations;
- Ability to create, review, effectively present and negotiate contracts;
- Juggle the closing of current deals while nurturing longer-term opportunities.
Candidate profile
- Has 10 years of experience as a leader in Sales & Business Development;
- Experience in a Software vendor (preferably CMS/ SAAS);
- Visionary executive with a proven entrepreneurial track record of defining and delivering new initiatives;
- Ability to think conceptually on the fly;
- Extensive international experience in managing and growing business in both developing and mature markets ideally having experienced international assignments as part of your career;
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams in dynamic, competitive markets;
- High level of enthusiasm, with strong influencing and negotiation skills;
- Skillful collaboration and diplomacy to ensure smooth working relationships across teams. Especially Marketing and MT;
- Robust analytical skills and the ability to deliver on detail as well as strategy;
- Self- motivated and creative; having the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges, adaptive to change;
- Knowledge and experience with modern sales methodologies like predictable revenue;
- Fluent in English, if you can communicate in German as well that’s a big plus;
- Travel required up to 50%.
