With seven product development and manufacturing plants spread across Europe and North America, the organisation is able to reach the global pharmaceutical market.

The Role

To establish and to manage professional and profitable Sterile Product Development Services in Belgium in order to capture and to secure new business opportunities at the company, and take care of the internal growth with actual customers for contract manufacturing services (scale up, new dosage, new pharmaforms, technology transfer, etc.).
The Director Product Development reports directly to the Plant Director in Belgium and has three Project Managers and one Formulation Scientist reporting to him/her.

The Requirements

• Outstanding scientific background in pharmacy or chemistry
• At least 5 years international (US, EU, JP) experience in the pharmaceutical market in a comparable position
• Successful track record in drug development
• Thorough experience in organization and profit center management
• Excellent People management skills
• Formulation and sterile drug product manufacturing with chemicals, peptides or proteins API.
• Knowledge in freeze drying is a must
• Sterile environment, aseptic processes
• Project Management skills
• Customer focused
• Bilingual French/English required
