Global Product Line Manager (Chemicals & Coatings)

The organisation

Our customer is a world wide operating enterprise and market leader in the field of Specialty Chemicals and Coatings.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Take the lead for the preparation and/or modification of the Global Strategy-, Marketing- and Business plans
• Collecting and compiling global information related to the global Product line and industry segments
• Develop and prepare technology roadmap for assigned industry segments together with the Global R&D Director
• Development and updating of market models for relevant product markets
• Establish objectives and expectations for revenue and margin growth
• Identify and develop working relationship with key clients
• Identify and define value elements for the product lines, create value propositions and value tools
• Communicate the value proposition to the global sales and technical service team and organize/lead any trainig efforts as required
• Coordinate the promotional efforts for product literature, technical papers, customer and/or regional seminars
• Maintain the product stewardship responsibilities for product line profitability, rationalization, etc.
• Work with the business VP`s and industry managers to acquire new technology through internal and external means to satisfy emerging trends or product gaps
• Building teams in the territories Europe, Asia and USA and obtain chemistry and  applicator approvals in Industry Segments in close cooperation with the industry managers in the 3 territories

Candidate profile

• Master degree(M.A.) or equivalent or Doctoral degree (Ph.D) or equivalent
• Very good knowledge in chemical and/or coating processes
• More than 10 years related work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both in German and English
• Teamplayer to be able to lead cross functional global teams
• Strong work ethic, flexible in regard of working hours and willing to travel internationally
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office
