The organisation

You will work for an international biotech company specializing in the creation and development of innovative differentiated antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and the improvement of the lives of cancer patients.
The company has been active for almost 25 years and they now have over 1000 people working for them. Their headquarters are in Denmark and next to this office, they have sites in the US, Japan and the one in Utrecht that you might join!

The position

As a Lab manager IT systems, you will be leading the IT laboratory support team, consisting of 3 IT experts. You are responsible to ensure that all lab equipment and associated IT systems communicate properly with each other. The challenge is to harmonize between the 3 international locations of the laboratories: Netherlands, United States & Denmark. This is a newly created role that came from the needs of the business. Your function level is Associate Director and you will report directly to the Vice President.

Candidate profile

In order to be successful as a Lab manager IT systems you at least have a Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field, combined with solid working experience in the lab as a lab manager. If you have experience with setting up a lab and/or transforming the needs of the lab to IT solutions, we welcome you to apply today! You don’t need to be an IT SME, you have your team for the IT knowledge, but you do need to have the right affinity with IT and experience with state of the art, (cloud based) IT equipment in the lab. It’s important that you are able to translate the requirements from the lab into efficient IT solutions that will be used in all 3 international labs. For this position, fluent English skills are required, Dutch is not a must.

As a person, you have good people management skills and project and coordination skills. You know how to communicate with colleagues on different levels, in different teams, in different countries.
