The organization

Our client is the world leader in the manufacturing of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. The Sector Manufacturing & Logistics (M&L) is responsible for the assembly, building and delivery of all wafer stepper machines, including planning and logistics. Global Logistics Services (GLS) is part of M&L and responsible for all inbound and outbound flows to and from the factory. The Logistics Supplier Manager (LSM) is part of the Sourcing Logistics group within GLS. The GLS department is responsible for optimizing working capital in line with financial commitments, prepare the supply chain with regard to capacity, buffers and lead-time, drive cycle time reduction and drive the supply chain planning roadmap.

The role

The Logistics Supplier Manager manages strategic suppliers towards competitive logistics performance with a focus on the reliability and flexibility of supply while understanding and controlling the risks within the supply chain. He or she works closely together within Supplier Account Teams within ASML and is responsible for managing his or her team of Project Leaders LSM and the related planning department.

Main responsibilities

• Plan and execute material availability from suppliers to ASML production including operational escalations to suppliers.
• Ensure delivery reliability of ASML's main suppliers.
• Plan, implement and control the required capacity, buffers and flexibility at suppliers.
• Actively manage cycle time and order lead time reduction programs at suppliers.
• Execute logistic audits at new strategic or critical suppliers.
• Manage strategic suppliers towards competitive logistic performance.
• Chair of the logistics supplier team involving new product logistics, service logistics, planning and other required interfaces.
• Represent Manufacturing & Logistics in sourcing decisions made by the Strategic Product Family Team (SPFT).

Candidate profile

Experience

• 7-10 years relevant working experience.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in project management; handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with engineering and/or supply chain processes in business-to-business (high-tech, low-volume) environment.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers.

Personal skills

• Excellent communication skills, interfacing and convincing on all level.
• Excellent understanding of a high tech manufacturing environment.
• Able to define a long term strategy and translate in short term actions.
• Drive for solutions, result oriented.
• Pro active, act under high pressure.
• Strong analytical skills, business sense and capability to develop vision and strategy.
• Commercial feeling; thinking out of the box.
• Result oriented, hands-on mentality.

Language skills

Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written. Preferably also in German.

Location

Eindhoven area, The Netherlands. Occasional travel within Europe and/ or to Asia and USA might be required.
